The data analytics process, including the deployment and use of big data analytics tools, can help a company improve their operational efficiency by analysing their data and presenting this data in a more intuitive form to make better business decisions. 

This course will give delegates an introduction to data analytics covering the following core sessions:

Session 1: Intermediate Excel and in-built analysis functionality.

Session 2: Introduction to databases and querying data.

Session 3: Data theory plus hands on data wrangling with Excel

Session 4: Processing Data part 1: using Data Cleaner.

Session 5: Processing Data part 2: external data (APIs) and Advanced Excel Analytics.

Session 6: Data Visualisation – Excel and IBM Watson reporting.

What you'll learn / gain skills in

Delegates will develop skills and an awareness of data analytic tools including Microsoft Excel, APIs, Data Cleaner and IBM Watson Analytics to source, process, output and visualise data.

Entry Requirements

A general understanding of spreadsheets.

The course can be attended by both the employed and unemployed.
