Overview

The introduction to Lean Office Tools & Techniques Level 2 is aimed at anyone interested in basic Lean operational practices in either the office, laboratory or a manufacturing environment.

The principle unit is Flow Process Analysis which looks to seek and eliminate waste in a typical work process - for example, an invoicing process, a manufacturing process and so forth. Other topics include problem solving, visual management and workplace organisation.

What you'll learn / gain skills in

Students will gain an accredited, certified unit in Carrying out Flow Process Analysis. Students will then be able to apply the skills learned in their place of work with the aim of identifying and eliminating waste.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. However, all students will complete a short initial assessment on literacy & numeracy. Students must also provide eligibility evidence to meet European Social Funding regulations, including:

  • Employment status
  • DOB
  • Residency
  • National Insurance number

Additionally, to be eligible for this course you must:

Live in OR work in OR be seeking to grow your business within the Northumberland, Tyne and Wear or County Durham areas.

The course can be attended by both the employed and unemployed.
