Overview

The level 2 Award in Industrial Environment Awareness has been developed to support the level 2 mandatory unit knowledge requirements of Performing Engineering Operations, Performing Manufacturing Operations and Marine Engineering. Additionally, the award content delivers knowledge on industrial settings including health & safety, teamwork and employment rights and responsibilities.

Understanding how to communicate in an industrial environment

Understanding working effectively in an industrial environment

Understanding working relationships in an industrial environment

Understanding rights and responsibilities in an industrial environment

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. However, all students will complete a short initial assessment on literacy & numeracy. Students must also provide eligibility evidence to meet European Social Funding regulations, including:

  • Employment status
  • DOB
  • Residency
  • National Insurance number

Additionally, to be eligible for this course you must:

Live in OR work in OR be seeking to grow your business within the Northumberland, Tyne and Wear or County Durham areas.

You must be employed to be eligible for this course.
