Overview

These workshops provide opportunities for those people who are employed and looking for a change in career, applicants who may be at risk of redundancy or who have recently been made redundant and employees near the end of their contact with an employer.

We provide a series of half day and full day workshops to develop an understanding of the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected within the retail and hospitality sector. Workshops can be provided at flexible times to suit the needs of the group including evenings. 

Course Duration - half, 1 or 2 day workshops

What you'll learn / gain skills in

The workshops include the following:

  • Introduction to the retail industry
  • Introduction to catering & hospitality
  • Principles of customer service
  • Problem solving at work and appropriate solutions
  • The selling process and consumer law

There are many more to choose from for interested parties. The workshops are offered in a suite of 3 or 4 and include an induction prior to commencing the workshops.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. However, all students will complete a short initial assessment for literacy and numeracy. Students must also provide eligibility evidence to meet European Social Funding regulations, including:

  • Employment status
  • DOB
  • Residency
  • National Insurance number

You must be employed to be eligible for this course.
